Since 2005 Ms. Crystal Hermann has been offering high quality visual arts and sewing instruction to students of all ages in San Francisco. She strongly believes that creating a visual arts practice from a young age cultivates resilience, empowerment, mindfulness and creative problem solving skills. She also knows that every artist has a special spark ready to be ignited in a safe space free from judgement and full of encouragement. She encourages her students to experiment with a variety of mediums and presents them with diverse artistic roll models. In her visual art classes she covers the fundamentals of art, techniques, and also introduces her students to incredible contemporary and historical artists of varied races, genders, backgrounds and physical and mental abilities. Through other artists' work and stories we can find inspiration, encouragement and empathy for our own artistic paths.
During Covid -19 Ms. Crystal is teaching virtual art, sewing, handcrafts and ceramics classes via Zoom.
